Lugano - a vibrant city and the undisputed financial centre of the Canton Ticino,
yet peace and quiet are never far away. The city's two "watchtowers",
Monte Brè and Monte San Salvatore, are the perfect destinations for an
excursion, and should you prefer to save your energy for the top, then
take the funicular up!
Monte Tamaro - pure thrills
Already popular as a destination for walkers and mountain-bikers, Monte Tamaro has become the region's all-round excitement mountain. In the Adventure Park, young and old alike can test their balance and acrobatic skills on six routes high among the trees consisting of platforms, rope bridges and suspended cables. You can choose between varying levels of difficulty. Speed freaks, meanwhile, can hurtle down the toboggan run at speeds of up to 50 kph. the bravest of all can fly more than 400 metres through the air, safely suspended from a cable - the longest zip-wire in Switzerland.
