Summertime

Green pasture grounds, blue sky and the smell of fresh hay invite you to long walks. Aeschi offers you what your heart desires, a unique nature reserve with an imposing waterfall as well as a well kept net of hiking paths (42 km) in all four directions. Simple walks, short or long round trips, a mountain tour of one or several days or just sitting by the Lake of Thun and enjoy life; in Aeschi you find it all. Our seasonal offers like cheese dairy inspections, botanical excursions, farm experiences, pony riding, lama trekking and lots more give the possibility to vary your holidays.

Wintertime

Aeschiried offers a small but special skiing area - ideal for families and beginners with a marvelous view of Lake Thun. The ski runs are of easy to medium difficulty and the ski passes are reasonably priced. Cross-country skiers will be delighted by the romantic cross-country ski trail along the snow-covered Suld River, and 15 km of prepared footpaths are at the disposal of winter hikers. We also recommend our indoor swimming pool (with whirlpool and sauna). One of our special offers for children is a visit to a petting farm.

Public Transport: Spiez is the nearest train station with hourly InterCity and EuroCity connections. Enjoy the relaxing journey on the train and avoid the stress of driving and traffic congestion. From Spiez take the bus up to Aeschi (15 Minutes). Coming from Bern you'll reach us in 1 hour, from Zurich and Basel in less than 2 ½ hours.

By car: Coming from the north you drive on the motorway over Basel (A2) or Zürich (A1) or Geneva (A1) to Bern. From Bern you follow the motorway (A6) to Thun and Spiez. Take exit (No. 19), after 5 km main road you reach your holiday destination. Travel time from Basel and Zürich 2 hours, from Bern 45 minutes only.

Other/Air: International airports are located in Berne, Zurich, Geneva and Basel and have excellent train/bus connections to Aeschi.
