The sun-spoilt mountain village is known worldwide because of its saffron. The queen of plants can be admired in October in the fields just below the village. With us you will wander along the beautifully kept "bisses" (the old water conducts) in the wild romantic valley of the Gredetschtal in the middle of the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Earthy hamlets, preserved in the old Valaisian architectural style and the "mayens" (mountain pastures) invite you to stay. Here you will encounter black nose sheep, black neck goats and cows of the Val d'Herens race – a pure natural experience.
