Heidiland in summer

Would you prefer to walk or cycle along the shores of the Walensee, or along the Rhine dam? Heidiland is diverse in every sense and offers everything to make a visit worthwhile in a very compact area.
Its attractions range from the sampling of fresh cheese on an Alpine pasture through to gourmet experiences, and of farm-based holidays through to wellness and golfing holidays in the region's grand hotels.

Heidiland in winter

There may not be glaciers, but there is sure to be snow. The holiday destination Heidiland is a little slice of heaven on earth for skiers, carvers, snowboarders, ski tourers, cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and winter hikers alike.

Thanks to state-of-the-art snowmaking facilities, the winter sports season begins as early as November in Flumserberg. The whole family can have fun on the sled runs, two of which are among the longest in Switzerland, where cannonball descents will really get your adrenaline pumping. In our igloo villages, visitors can sit around the camp fire and reflect over the past millennium, and look ahead towards a promising future under the starry sky. After snow play, you will have time to relax, take a deep breath and recharge your batteries in the 34°C water of the Tamina baths.

Highlights:
  • Wangs-Pizol sled run, one of Switzerland's longest (over seven km)
  • Ice climbing
  • Carving pistes
  • Lit cross-country ski trails
  • Sledding safari
  • Obstacle & Fun Park, Boardercross, Halfpipe
  • Ring toss on ice
  • Fondue night and lantern-lit skiing
  • Full moon skiing.
