The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum in Geneva documents the history and activities of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The museum, opened in 1988, is located next to the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross (IKRK) and is visited annually by approximately 70,000 to 80,000 people. Aside from the permanent exhibition, the museum stages changing special exhibitions. In addition, the museum owns a series of collections and it stores deposits that belong to the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
