Over three floors there are over 2,000 objects exhibitited, dating from 1839 to 1980. The owner and president of the company, Philippe Stern, owns 1,000 of them. On the fourth floor there is a large library filled with books about clocks. This part is only open to collectors, journalists and on request.
The Patek-Philippe-Museum was opened in Geneva in 2001. Nearly 1500 wristwatches and pocket watches as well as rare musical automata and enameled portrait miniatures are exhibited in a former factory building. In its own 700 sq meter museum Patek-Philip presents extraordinary objects documenting the developments in measuring time from the 16th to the 19th century. Adjacent to the museum is a section dedicated to Patek Philippe watches from the beginning to the present. Never before has there been such a valuable and comprehensive watch collection.
