The gently rolling hills in the countryside of Estavayer-le-Lac form an extremely pleasant backdrop to a biking excursion. Challenging single trails alternate with easier stretches to give you a rich variety of biking adventures and to make this ride through pristine natural surroundings particularly entertaining. The tour also has a lot to offer as far as culture is concerned. Sightseeing in the picturesque Old Town of Estavayer-le-Lac is a marvellous highlight of the tour. And you can snap great photos of the imposing castle that majestically presides over the city.
Estavayer - Granges-de-Vesin - La Vounaise - Châbles - Châtillon - Estavayer
From the Estavayer train station take the hiking trail to Lully in the general direction of Payerne. After biking 5 kilometers, continue in the direction of Tour de la Molière. In Granges-de-Vesin turn sharply left, biking uphill. Continue for a while in the direction of Tour de la Molière, then turn in the direction of La Vounaise. At La Vounaise, take the hiking trail that turns left, going towards Cheyres. After another left turn, choose the right turn at the next fork, and continue straight ahead on the tarred trail. Follow the hiking trail in the direction of Cheyres and finally bike via Châbles and Châtillon to Estavayer.
