High above Lake Bielersee, almost halfway up the imposing face of the Chasseral, lies the Plateau de Diesse. Though the area itself isnt really that well known, Swiss author Friedrich Dürrenmatt used it as the setting for his intriguing pot-boiler The Judge and His Hangman. In any case, the landscapes youll experience on this tour are truly stunning. Lake Bielersee lies below a belt of vineyard slopes, above them you notice a stretch of woodland, and cornfields at the top dominate the view. Picturesque wine-growing villages round off the picture postcard impression, and from a technical point of view, this circuit is a bikers delight. So have fun and enjoy!
