Fiesch

Select your Region:
Fiesch

The Aletsch glacier is the largest in the Alps and has recently been marked out by UNESCO as a world nature site. What a fantastic location for a tour! The journey itself is your goal - all the way up to the frozen water. You'll need to tackle thirteen curves on the path through the larch forests up to the Fiescheralp. The efforts of cycling uphill are more than rewarded by the unique landscapes and indescribably beautiful views. Up here the characteristics of the trail are more a secondary business, it's the natural surroundings which count - and nothing else.

At Fiesch, begin your leisurely bikeride to Lax. But once you have completed that part of the journey, you must overcome the 13 curves on the trail up to Kühboden. Northeast of the plateau, at the foot of Tälligrat mountain, a kilometer-long tunnel leads you to the view of the glacier. Then return the same way along the lakes (e.g. Märjelensee) back to Kühboden and continue onwards to Bettmeralp. Now bike in the direction of Riederalps. Shortly before Riederalp, turn into the descending path. Six hundred meters further down, ascend to Greich again and return to Fiesch via Goppisberg, Martisberg and Lax.
