Fantastic views of Lake Zürich and the Linth Plain define this technically straightforward bike tour from Kaltbrunn up to the Breitenau Mountain. Once you are on the peak, the view opens up to the lovely Toggenburg region. Unmistakably, Mt. Säntis dominates the scene. Towards the south, the Glarus Mountains loom on the horizon. The cornfields and meadows of the Linth Plain present themselves to your eyes like an over-sized chessboard.
Kaltbrunn - Wilderau - Spitzmoos - Breitenau - Wielesch - Bachmannsberg - Schänerwiti - Steinenbrücke - Kaltbrunn
From Kaltbrunn a steadily rising trail leads to Breitenau. For the last 500 meters to this fabulous vantage point you have to get off your bike and walk. The first part of the descent is somewhat technical, but the last stretch of the trail makes for an easier descent. After a short uphill ride, you can cycle down to Steinenbrücke. A short ride on a flat section of the main road takes you ultimately back to Kaltbrunn, the starting point of the tour,
