Valley Tour South No. 601

This tour starts in Lenzerheide and leads along the left side of the valley to Lantsch/Lenz. There are lots of nice views across the valley and into the Oberhalbstein valley to be enjoyed en route. The bench at the Rofna viewpoint just outside Lenz is likely to prove an inviting spot for a rest. From there, the tour continues down to Lenz and on to the Crap la Tretscha viewpoint, which has a barbecue area and makes a great place for a break. The return journey is a gentle climb along the valley floor back up to Lenzerheide.
Lenzerheide - Rofna - Lantsch/Lenz - Crap la Tretscha - Lenzerheide
In Lenzerheide, ride as far as Hotel Scalottas and then turn left. After the Sanaspans holiday home, continue on in the direction of the rifle range and down to the Bovas gravel pit. The ascent to the Rofna viewpoint with its beautiful views of Lenz begins just after St. Cassian’s campsite. After Rofna, there is a steep downhill ride into Lenz where, after passing the post office and riding through the playground, the tour continues up to the Foppa car park and through a beautiful larch forest to the Crap la Tretscha viewpoint with its panoramic views of the farming villages of Stierva, Mon and Mutten and Alvaschein. The level area of forest that follows eventually leads to a golf course, after which it’s plain sailing back to Lenzerheide.
