Lumnezia - Valley of Light

Lumbrein

Select your Region:
Val Lumnezia

Val Lumnezia: Refuel your energies with sunshine in -The Valley of Light-. The quiet, remote valley, is well-known to the people from the flat regions beyond the borders because of its Open Air Festival, which has been taking place annually for 20 years. Even on your bike you will rock. After rolling into the village in smooth style on the uncrowded main road your tires will b proving their mettle. The quality of the trails varies, including an unbikeable passage - a short one, luckily - before the wooden bridge across the Glogn. The subsequent ascent is worth it, on account of the marvelous view from the foot of the mighty Piz Mundaun of the surrounding mountains of Graubünden.

You will then find yourself on a road and once again on a Single Trail. Finally follow the mule trails along the gorge to the descent (which is partially not bikeable) to the bridge across the Glogn. The ascent, first on a Single Track, leads to Vignon on the Senda Lumneziana , to the highest point of the tour and finally back to Lumbrein.
