Hop off the bus, remove your bike from the stand and youre all set to go. Well, almost: before you begin your downhill route from Mont Sujet, you still have to overcome a short uphill stretch. As of then, however, its all downhill. The panorama surrounding Mont Sujet is truly magnificent. Afterwards, the bumpy Jura pastures make the next section of the tour a sheer bone-shaker. The single trails will set your adrenalin levels racing, but you always have the opportunity to catch your breath because the downhill part is divided up into several stages. From Twannberg to Biel you can rightly expect to enjoy an enhanced feeling of fun as the tour finally develops into an exhilarating biking experience.

Les Prés-d'Orvin - Diesse - Prêles - Twannberg - Biel

At Biel train station take the bus up to Les Prés-d'Orvin. On the dirt road - almost parallel to the ski lifts - climb up the steep ascent to Mont Sujet. Follow the hiking trail beneath the peak in the direction of Diesse. The trail is slightly undulating, and is followed by a thrilling descent down to Diesse. At Diesse cross the street and take the hiking trail to Prêles. In Prêles follow the hiking trail in the direction of Twannberg. Now the steep descent into Twannbach ravine (Twannbachschlucht) follows. Cross the street and ride or push your bike steeply uphill on rough ground to Twannberg. When you reach Twannberg take the hiking trail back to Biel via Gaicht.
