On Route No. 7 through the Val de Travers
Fleurier - Val-de-Travers
Select your Region:

The rocky landscape in the Upper Val de Travers is stunningly
beautiful. One might say it is tailor-made for extensive discovery
tours by mountain bike. The Chapeau de Napoleon - the landmark of the
town of Fleurier - is the starting point for some especially attractive
routes. Among them is Route 7, which takes you up to the French border.
En route there are a very few hefty ascents. The single trails, which
are strewn with limestone polished smooth by the elements, require good
biking skills and make the tour a technical treat, especially on a wet
surface.
Fleurier - St. Sulpice - Les Verrières - Fleurier
Starting from the train station of Fleurier, ride up the valley to St. Sulpice. Now follow the red trail markers with the number 7. The route is marked throughout, but only in one direction. After St. Sulpice, it's steeply uphill to Le Cernil then follows a pleasant ride to Les Verrières. From Les Parcs, you'll return to Fleurier, biking in the opposite direction.
