Bike from the sports mecca Magglingen via Twannbach ravine up to the lush meadows at Chuffor t, and continue onwards to the temple for literary acolytes, -Centre Dürrenmatt-, and the botanical gardens. This amounts to experiencing all the facets of biking and realizing many a biker dream! Steep ascents, flat stretches, tricky descents; the natureof this tour changes as fast as a chameleon changes its colors.
Magglingen - Lignières - Chuffort - Neuchâtel
From the mountain station of Magglingen-Bahn (Magglingen railroad or train) follow the hiking trail (-alter Kurhausweg- or old spa's path) to Twannberg. Continue onwards on the hiking trail to Prêles, Lignières and bike up to Chuffort. At Chuffort continue biking over the pastures towards La Dame and from La Dame descend to Enges/Lordel. From Enges take the hiking trail to Neuchatel. At Châtelainie bike in the direction of Neuchâtel-Ermitage and later on follow the hiking trail in the direction of Gare.
