Château d'Oex, where once Bertrand Piccard began his successful flight around the world in his montgolfière balloon, is the start of many an interesting mountainbike tour. Pays d�Enhaut with its rich, florwering meadows, and its dark green pine forests, is tailor-made made for nature sports. The trails are very demanding in part and may provoke some cramping in your calves. The tour up to Lac de l�Hongrin is short, but it will surprise you with some tricky slopes.

Château-d'Oex - Les Moulins - Monts Chevreuils - Lac de l'Hongrin (reservoir lake) - Château-d'Oex.

This tour is well signed. It takes you over forest and side streets and is tecnicaly easy to ride. A certain basic condition is required because the way to Monts Chevreuils is rather steep.
