At the slopes of Mt. Thyon, above Veysonna, passionate competitions for World Cup positions take place. In the summer months these slopes are wonderful for extensive hiking and biking tours. Deep down below extends the vast Rhône Valley. And on the opposite side is the northern chain of the Valaisian Alps with the eye-catching glacial Pleine Morte. Turn your glance westward and you will be able to see as far as the bend in the valley of Martigny. Simply magnificent!
Veysonnaz - Clèbes - Verrey - Les Combes - Mayens de l'Ours - Les Collons - Les Masses - Bon Accueil - Les Agettes - Mayens de Salins - Proulin - Veysonnaz
The tour starts at the post office of Veysonnaz above the old village center and wends its way down the hairpin curve. From here the route follows the signposts in the direction of Clèbes and Verrey. At first on an asphalt road, then on a forest trail, you will gradually ascend up to 1,600 meters. After crossing the Ours trails, the tour continues to Les Collons, the highest point of the tour. A fast downhill will take you to Les Agettes. A final - but challenging - uphill ride takes you back to Veysonnaz
