Ebnat-Kappel - Krummenau - Neu St. Johann - Ritteren - Geren - Bendel - Ebnat-Kappel
From the Ebnat-Kappel Railroad Station the tour runs along the left side of the Thur River Valley up to Blomberg. A short descent takes you to the Trempel near Krummenau. After passing the valley station of the chairlift, the route continues uphill to the Thur Bridge and then further upwards to Neu St. Johann. Here the route turns left in the direction of Schwägalp. Past Schlatt your tour constantly hugs the mountain. Superb views of Speer and the surrounding mountains are your reward during this rigorous uphill ride. The upper part of the ascent takes you on a gravel road to Alp Ritteren. A sign-posted trail then leads to Geren and from there to Bendel. The last ascent takes you to Restaurant Sternen, before a steep descent brings you back to Ebnat-Kappel, the starting point of the tour.
