Corviglia

The magnificent mountain and lake scenery of the Upper Engadine forms the backdrop for numerous fantastic routes. The one going from chic St. Moritz through the Val Saluver up to the outstanding vantage point of Corviglia must, with no exaggeration, fall into this category. The panoramic view extends from Lake Sils in the south over to the snow-capped peak of Piz Corvatsch and as far as the Bernina range, towering above everything else. There are some difficult and sometimes steep paths, alternating with panoramic trails that are easier to ride. Sheer riding pleasure.
St.Moritz - Celerina - Marguns - Lej Alv - Corviglia - Alp Suvretta - Suvretta - St.Moritz
The tour begins in St. Moritz and first leads down along the Cresta bobsleigh run to Celerina. That's where the climb up to the Val Saluver begins. You go past the Marguns mountain restaurant and then along a very steep path up to the Glüna chairlift. A lovely single-track trail then takes you to the Lej Alv, and shortly after that you reach the highest point of the tour. The downhill section firstly leads to the top station of the Corviglia mountain railway. Then, it goes steeply down to a mountain path and on as far as the Suvretta Alp. A narrow track takes you down to Suvretta and from there you go back along the road to St. Moritz.
