The Churer Joch is the perfect tour for testing how fit you are. Am I any faster than I was last time? How fast was my pulse? Which gears was I in last time? All of these questions can be repeatedly put to the test on the climb up to the Churer Joch. The tour starts with an easy downhill ride to Parpan – and that’s where the fun starts! After snaking up the hill to the Tschugga Restaurant, the stretch over the Oberberg to Foppa will seem “almost flat”. From Foppa, however, there is another steep climb, this time leading up to a ridge from which your destination, the Bergrestaurant Joch, will be clearly visible.
Lenzerheide - Valbella - Parpan - Tschuggen - Oberberg - Alp Joch - Oberberg - Tschuggen - Parpan - Valbella - Lenzerheide
After setting off from Lenzerheide, you can warm up on the gentle climb up to the Valbellner Plateau. The tour itself starts with an easy downhill ride to Parpan – and that’s where the fun starts! The first big ascent is on a tarmac road. After snaking up the hill to the Tschugga Restaurant, you will at last have a chance to step on it, gear up and pedal full speed ahead, because the stretch over the Oberberg to Foppa will seem “almost flat”. From Foppa, however, there is another steep climb, at first on a tarmac road and then on a dirt track leading to a ridge from which your destination, the Bergrestaurant Joch, will be clearly visible. The return journey follows the same route in reverse, meaning down to Parpan and from there to Lenzerheide.
