The Zugerberg is a mountain that offers splendid views of Central Switzerland's Alpine peaks. Rigi, Pilatus and many others stand side by side. The moorlands on the high plateau are unique nature reserves harboring many rare species of plants. And then, of course, there is sparkling Lake Zug spread out in front of you, making this hike an unforgettable experience. Descending towards Goldau you can still observe an impressive line of rock fall as you walk through a natural rock garden created by a catastrophic rockslide which buried the village of Goldau in 1806. Children will love a visit to Arth-Goldau's animal park.
