Green below - white at the top. Hot below - cool at the top. What a fascinating world, in the middle of summer! You must also stand at the top, slowly let the 360o panoramic view take effect, enjoy the unique altitude of this glacier summit, stamp around in the middle of summer in snow and ice or go on a dog sleigh ride. The Glacier 3000 funicular takes you to 3,000 metres above sea level. The bottom station in Col du Pillon and the mountain station with its two restaurants were both designed, by the way, by the star architect, Mario Botta.
Glacier 3000: Walking Country 2004
The Glacier 3000 region is, apart from the icy opportunities of the summer, in the middle of nature' beauty and close to attractive destinations for excursions and places of culture. Above all however - here you can climb, walk on wide paths, which are not overcrowded (also from Cabane middle station), through the mountain world, look at the marmots, dip your hot feet in the deep blue of the mountain lakes and enjoy summer life with the whole family.
