The 2-hour walk at the foot of the Eiger North Face from the Eiger Glacier to Alpiglen at the foot of the Eiger offers overwhelming views of the Eiger North Face.
A trail along steep Alpine pastures takes you past the world famous and imposing Eiger North Face. It extends from Restaurant Alpiglen up to the cableway station of Eiger Glacier. If you don't want to return to Grindelwald on foot after experiencing all those breathtaking views, you can return to the valley by train. Hikers with experience in mountain hiking can walks this trail without problems.
The careful planning of a hiking tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended hiking trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
