The ascent via the steep North Face, the Pas de l'Echelle, to Monnetier, a hamlet between the Petit and Grand Salève, is something of an adventure. The hike along the ridge to L'Observatoire rewards you with panoramic views extending from the Jurassic Mountains up to the Savoy Alps and across Lake Geneva.
