Step into the largest public living-room in Switzerland. The "City Lounge" was designed by the two artists Pipilotti Rist and Carlos Martinez. It's an inviting place to stop awhile, with places to meet. A red carpet stretches between the buildings, and the swinging lights overhead emit a warm light.

Like many other famous buildings in Europe and Japan, the Markthalle in Altenrhein is an impressive example of the unusual architectural concepts of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, the internationally acclaimed artist.
