The imposing masterpiece at the lake designed by star architect Jean Nouvel comprises a concert hall, congress center and art museum, all under one roof. The showpiece is the concert room with the best acoustics worldwide. It is here that the Lucerne Festival enraptures its guests.

After the fire of 1971 the whole station area was newly built. Quite unique is the transparent entrance hall with the interesting roof, designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. The main portal of the old train station is today a gate on Station Square.

A small corner property built in 1907 has been transformed to the first luxury boutique hotel in Switzerland by none other than French star architect Jean Nouvel. It combines spirituality with elegance and timeless design. Having designed every piece himself, the furnishing concept bears Nouvel’s hallmark: vertical lines are drawn in stainless steel and horizontal ones in wood. The Hotel describes a new way of communicating with people and makes its own statement about today’s world.

Like a huge glacier block the spectacular facade splits the extension building designed by the renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron in two projecting the daylight into the interior. An extraordinary interior-design as well as spectacular conference facilities on the two top floors offer new experience dimensions for lifestyle and design-seeking guests starting November 2007.

Behind the hotel's imposing neo-classic façade, stylish suites and rooms radiate an aesthetic elegance, with the finest furnishings and fabrics and décor of distinction. All rooms and suites reflect the same superior standards of refined sophistication – but each can claim its own unique character. Contemporary interior design is combined with light and airy spaciousness. The colour concept was influenced by the hotel's close proximity to lovely Lake Lucerne and the distant snow-capped peaks.
