The "Schall und Rauch" ("Noise and Smoke") could be called a lounge bar. Or a late-night café. Or a smart club for night-time revellers. But in fact it is simply the "Schall und Rauch". A unique place, where the warm colours make you forget about the cold night outside. The sister establishment of Schall und Rauch ist "Tom's Beer Box" in the heart of the Old Town. Here you can find beers from all over the world. "Tom's Beer Box" has long been an institution in Chur, famous for having the best beers - and strange music. Just nearby is the long-established Felsenbar – a real classic.

Track no. 7 brings variety to your everyday routine. 7 different display cabinets for grappa, whisky, sherry, port, speciality wines, tea... Anything your heart desires. The selection of wines ranges from light apéritif wines from the Bündner Herrschaft region to heavier Moutons des Bordeaux. For smaller appetites there are Track sandwiches. Be lured away into Graubünden's Orient Express. The bar with the cosiest corners.

Whether it is for concerts, readings or dance parties, exhibitions or events of a political nature, the Werkstatt (Workshop) has plenty of room. Also, every week (except in summer), there's the Monday cinema. For food, you can enjoy selected wines, a wide range of teas, various beers from the Locher brewery, sparkling wines from the Misox valley and antipasta, with local and organic produce preferred. Guests can enjoy a wide range of newspapers, various books and comics, free Wireless LAN and Internet access for CHF 5 per hour.

If you're into cocktails, you'll find refreshing icy Caipirinha here, and if you're into good music there's a blend of chill house sound, hit parade and the best music from the last 20 years. It's pleasant and yet something special. Just like the interior decor: from the blue fabric beer mats to the lounge, the special brickwork and the fixtures and fittings, every object and every detail here contributes to the special atmosphere. It is all very effectively lit, so party guests and music fans can gaze proudly round the room and out through the large glass windows on to the street.

At the Selig they're ready for all kinds of musical styles and events. So the music resounds here in the broadest sense of the word. From Thursday to Saturday, you can just party and dance to good music here, it's as simple as that. The club has filled a gap in the cultural entertainment available in Chur: nothing to do with high culture or commercial interests, but now there's a straightforward, attractive meeting place here.

Clubbing 25+, generally known by the name "the old Schoggi factory", is a trendy meeting place for all dance and music fans aged over 25. The musical style ranges from the 70s to the current charts, mixed with jive, latino and sometimes even music in Swiss dialect. The DJ sets the volume so that people can dance properly on the dance-floor, but those at the side can still talk to each other.

The Musik Club Palazzo, newly opened in 2007, offers regular concerts and room for 1000 people. This club, with its stage, lounge, bar and billiards room is a welcome addition to the club scene along the Welschdörfli in Chur. There is also a brand-new bowling alley underneath the Musik Club.
