Bundesplatz (Federal Plaza)
Every day, every half hour between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., the 26 fountains play (one for each canton). On days when the market is held on the Bundesplatz, the water only starts to flow at 3 p.m. In the winter, the fountains are turned off, and can be admired again at the beginning of spring.

Marzili
Bern's most frequented swimming pool is the "Marzili". As in all other municipal pools of Bern, no entrance fee is charged for swimming. In the separate open-air spaces "Paradiesli" and "Männerbad", women and men may sunbathe in the nude.
