Lorenzo Albrici who is a former student of Frédy Girardet's presents his own original and very sophisticated dishes in the elegant setting of a beautiful old building in the town center.

The light-flooded and modern bar in the new PostZentrum of Bellinzona was designed in the 1980's by Aurelio Galfetti, who is today a star architect. Here postal and railroad employees as well as the general population of the town and countryside meet and socialize. In the summer a garden restaurant will be opened, embellished by a fountain sculpture created by Pierino Selmoni.

The historic Birreria has been newly designed and is adorned with works from the owner's art collection. Architecture by Renzo Molina. Here railroad and postal workers as well as intellectuals, factory workers and chess fans meet. A large selection of newspapers, a chess corner, card games, etc., beckon you to stop by and stay for a long time.

The Convento delle Agostiniane was restored by the Architect Luigi Snozzi, wherever remmants of the 15th century building existed. But the white plasterwork, flat roof and dark boxes above, which give the classrooms the look of a gallery, are brand new. Like the Arcades, the Convento Bar is a gathering point at the Piazza. Concerts are staged in the open air.

This bar was designed by an expert at the foot of Castelgrande and is Bellinzona's best address for a drink or a good glass of wine. It is also a breakfast café, bistro and Aperitif bar. The social strata of Bellinzona's society tend to intermingle and you can find here trendsetters, cultured people, poor girl students, cool romantics, tourists and business people.

A fine restaurant beautifully designed by the architect Aurelio Galfetti, a garden cafe, a modern grotto and a panoramic terrace are the lively center of Castelgrande. A meeting place for lovers of regional and Mediterranean cuisine. Themed parties with historic menus can be organised. A large assortment of regional and Italian wines and spirits.

Is there anything more comforting than an appetizing platter of freshly cut salami, prosciutto or lardo, soft cheese from the Valle di Muggio, or hard cheese from the upper Ticinese Alps? The large stone tables under centuries-old linden trees are inviting and conducive to animated conversations. Grottino Ticinese is a garden pub, which was established on the occasion of the National Marksmen's Festival of 1929. Swissness!

Located in a scenic spot in the Ravecchia section near Villa die Cedri. Select Mediterranean and pre-Alpine cuisine with a broad range of definitely home-made pasta. A large selection of Ticinese Alpine cheese! Reservations are recommended.

An historic railway pub (behind the train station) has evolved into an intimate and well-maintained Trattoria: Stylishly designed, with a very personal touch. The courses on the menu are prepared after the chef has spoken with you about them!

A gourmet temple in a unique architectural monument. It features a fine restaurant, a banquet room, a garden cafe, a panorama terrace and a grotto. A meeting point for lovers of regional and mediterranean cuisine. If desired, gastronomical evenings can be organised. Large assortment of Italian wines and spirits.

In the narrow Via Orico just behind the government building, you will find a charming bistro, stylishly renovated and furnished. The culinary offerings are of the highest quality. Excellent assortment of regional, Italian and French wine. Two Michelin stars. Reservations are recommended.

The newly organised Osteria features a garden terrace and has been expanded by a new intimite hall (Sala del Cavaliere). The restaurant offers a wide range of culinary delights: Grandmother's cooking, grill specialties, fish, game, risotto, vegetables, all complemented by the appropriate wine. A congenial meeting place for friends and family in unique and historic ambience.
