This route for skaters runs for some 350 kilometres across Switzerland to the towns of Murten and Avenches.
Skateline Mittelland is ideal for inline skaters who prefer a relaxed glide through the scenery, rather than a pumped-up time trial. In the final stretch through the Three Lakes Region, accompanied by cooling breezes off the water, you enter a piece of history. The Roman town of Avenches is more than 2,000 years old; these days its amphitheatre is the stage not for gladiators but for one of Switzerland's best rock festivals.
