All of Central Switzerland lies at her feet; among her many charms is Europe's first-ever mountain railway. The Rigi is more than a day out: she is a legend.
Like Mark Twain, you'll be enchanted by the views from the Rigi, embracing the Alps, a total of 13 lakes (count them!) and the whole of the Schweizer Mittelland as far as Germany and France. No cars are allowed on the "queen of the mountains" – but instead you can enjoy two historic cog railways and more than 100 kilometres of panoramic paths.
