The 170-m-long rope suspension bridge crosses the lake at the bottom of the Trift glacier at a height of 100 m, and makes the mountain hut accessible in three hours. Also a record-holder, the world's steepest funicular travels at a gradient of 160 % from Handeck (Grimsel) to Lake Gelmer up above.
