Summer mountain tips
Select your Region:

Aare Canoeing (Schweizer Mittelland)
The Aare is the longest river lying entirely within Switzerland. Between Biel and Solothurn, it offers perfect conditions for canoeists.
Jungfraujoch (Bernese Oberland)
The Jungfraujoch is Switzerland's most famous excursion destination: visitors travelling to Europe's highest railway station (3453m) won’t believe their eyes. From here, one can see all the way to the Vosges mountains in France and to the heights of the Black Forest in Germany. The large Aletsch glacier – with 23 kilometres of the longest ice flow in the Alps – starts directly alongside the Jungfraujoch.
(Bernese Oberland)
A little bit of Nepal in Switzerland, this spectacular rope suspension
bridge takes intrepid hikers across the Trift valley to the mountain
hut on the other side.
Schynige Platte (Bernese Oberland)
The Schynige Platte offers a front-row seat from which to admire the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Oeschinensee (Bernese Oberland)
Wild and romantic - the remote Gastern Valley above Kandersteg is worlds away from modern-day life.
Four-Passes-Roundtrip (Bernese Oberland)
The Swiss PostBus is a national institution, travelling to every
corner of the country. On this tour, the PostBus crosses four mountain
passes in one day: the Grimsel, the Nufenen, the Gotthard and the Susten.
Schilthorn (Bernese Oberland)
Gliding past thundering waterfalls and the precipitous rock walls of the Lauterbrunnen valley, you eventually reach the 2,970 m Schilthorn, where a breathtaking 360-degree panorama opens up.
The Voralpen Railway (Bernese Oberland)
Possible in half the time, but the nine hour train journey through
Switzerland provides a wonderful opportunity to see the mountains up
close - and not just for railway enthusiasts.
Lenk (Bernese Oberland)
Energy flows through the Simmen Valley, bringing harmony to body and
soul in the Lenkerhof Wellness Hotel. There's only one thing to do
here, and that's nothing at all!
Lauterbrunnen Valley (Bernese Oberland)
At the head of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, take the UNESCO Trail past
impressive waterfalls and enjoy the isolation - nature still has all
the space in the world up here.
