The Aare is the longest river lying entirely within Switzerland. Between Biel and Solothurn, it offers perfect conditions for canoeists.

From here, one can see all the way to the Vosges mountains in France and to the heights of the Black Forest in Germany. The large Aletsch glacier – with 23 kilometres of the longest ice flow in the Alps – starts directly alongside the Jungfraujoch.
