The Grande Cariçaie nature reserve
The second-largest nature reserve in Switzerland stretches along the southern shore of Lake Neuchâtel. More than a thousand plant varieties and several thousand species of animal have been recorded here. You can learn about many of them at the visitor centres and at information panels along the footpaths and cycle trails. Between the woods, the ponds and the lakeshore you also have the chance to taste a variety of regional specialties.

Experience prehistoric life at the reconstructed Stone-Age village of Gletterens. Try your hand at crafts, spear-throwing, fire-making and other activities.
