"Above and below" is the theme along Lausanne's new M2 metro line from June to September: such is the name of the third edition of the "Lausanne Jardins" garden festival.

Along the route, landscape architects are setting up exciting installations at locations above and below ground, transforming them into urban garden oases that visitors are invited to explore along set routes – or discover for themselves. These gems will complement the many gardens that contribute to the Mediterranean atmosphere of Lausanne – the Olympic capital and dynamic business metropolis with the setting of a holiday resort. Also worth exploring are the exceptionally rich cultural life (Béjart Ballet, for example), the charming Old Town, Lake Geneva, the magnificent palace hotels, and the region's varied gastronomy.
