The beneficial effects of these sulphur- and magnesiumrich springs were already known to the Romans. They built the first thermal baths in Yverdon-les-Bains, and would recuperate there after their campaigns.
Today, this little town on Lake Neuchâtel is the most important spa resort in French-speaking Switzerland. It is also at the heart of a region that, with all its natural variety, promises endless relaxation and rejuvenation: the lush lakeshores offer a romantic and enchanted world of walks, while the foothills of the Jura are a perfect playground for devotees of outdoor wellness. How to get there
Public Transport: Hourly direct connections from Zürich, Basel and Geneva. From Bern, trains run via Neuenburg, Biel or Payerne.
By car: Coming from Zürich take Autobahn A1, from Basel, Autobahn A2 either via Bern and Murten or via Biel and Neuenburg. From Geneva, Autobahn A1. Exits Yverdon Süd or Yverdon West. Geneva–Yverdon 89 km, Basel–Yverdon 178 km, Bern–Yverdon 83 km, Zürich–Yverdon 203 km.
Other/Air: From the international airports of Geneva, Basel and Zürich there are good train connections.
