Mountain experiences
Welcome to the Goms region at the foot of the Aletsch glacier: whoever
loves outdoor activities, nature, and gastronomic excellence will feel
at home in the land of the young Rhone river. In this high Valais
valley there is plenty of action for children, and all manner of
challenges for outdoor sports fans. Up here in the fresh and pure
mountain air everything seems that little bit easier.
Panoramically good
One high mountain valley, three passes, and 1000 holiday possibilities … Visit the ice grotto, play golf on the 9-hole course, go river-rafting or wildlife-spotting – and sample gastronomic treats along the way.
Sun terrace
Bellwald (1600 m) is popular not just for its stunning views and its secluded tranquillity; just about everything at this family-friendly village happens outdoors.
For music lovers
The Binntal, a side valley of the Goms, is world famous for its minerals and crystals – and is a treasure trove for music lovers. At the music village of Ernen enjoy the classics; in between, explore the smugglers’ footpaths, or take time to admire the tulips in Grengiols.
