Appearances can be deceptive. The bathing lake at Brigels may look completely natural – but is in fact artificial.

With a maximum depth of 1,6 metres, it is a perfect playground for children. The fresh mountain water that feeds it is preheated by solar panels to a comfortable 20 to 22 degrees. Indeed the whole of the holiday region of Brigels, Andiast and Waltensburg, far removed from crowds and traffic, is ideal for families. And it is wonderfully manageable and convenient, too: everything, from the mini-golf to the adventure playground, is easily reached on foot.

How to get there

Public Transport: From Zurich - Chur with the SBB, then with Rhaetian Railways to Tavanasa-Breil/Brigels. And finally by postbus to Breil/Brigels.

By car: From Basel - Zurich: N13 motorway to Reichenau, main street until Ilanz. Then follow the signs for Tavanasa, take the Breil/Brigels turning.
