The Entlebuch UNESCO biosphere reserve - a visit of a different nature
Welcome to Switzerland's first and only UNESCO biosphere reserve. Here you will find a highly unusual natural landscape: seemingly endless moorland, extraordinary karst rock formations, wild mountain rivers and a unique flora and fauna. It's a mysterious and magical place, full of wonderful views and fascinating things to discover.
An internationally important reserve
An area of some 400 km2 is home to the largest and most numerous moorland habitats in Switzerland, as well as flora and fauna of international importance.
