Summer 
The path into the gorge was hewn is a seven-year labor of love (1907 - 1914) by Christian Pitschen-Melchior. The highlights of the canyon tour are crossing underneath the Rhine River and gazing in wonder at the waterfall from the back. The romantic wilderness of nature, gigantic rock faces and the unique family history (also available as a book for children) makes the Roffla Gorge one of Switzerlands most beautiful ravines.
