From Col du Pillon to the mid-station of the Tète aux Chamois. A spectacular ride whisks visitors from the 2525-meter Tète aux Chamois to the mountain station of Sex Rouge at 2965 meters above sea level. Large, modern cabins, encased by glass from floor to ceiling, tackle the 1600-meter distance by means of a suspension cable.
The futuristic alpine fortress perched on top of the Scex Rouge mountain is an ambitious creation by the Swiss architect Mario Botta. There is a self-service cafeteria and a "gastroramic" restaurant, uniting refined cuisine and breathtaking views of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and the Jungfrau.
