Summer 
Rapid trains leave Romanshorn for Luzern hourly (and of course, also vice-versa). As you depart Romanshorn the distant mountain peaks make a wonderful backdrop for rolling meadows and sparkling lakes. The free-standing boulders around Arth-Goldau give the region an air of mystery. Luzern's historic center will delight everyone.
The 149-kilometer ride is not only studded with such gems as the Toggenburg, Lake Zurich, or the bog of Rothenthurm but also with such train wonders as the 99-meter-high Sittertobel Viadukt near St.Gallen. Numerous bridges, tunnels, and inclinations will delight train buffs. The two companies, Swiss Travel System and the Bodensee-Toggenburg-Bahn that run this beautiful train ride gurantee an excellent train experience.
