You will reach the summit of the Eggishorn at 2926 metres above sea level, still completely overwhelmed by the splendid journey over the Fiescheralp.
Now it really gets going - a panorama, which shows why the Eggishorn is also, called 'the mountain of views.' The view goes far over the Valais Alps to Mont Blanc in the west. The Ice Sea of the Aletsch glacier glistens down below and a network of over 1,000-km of mountain paths is open down the mountain. Whether a leisurely walk or a steep section, 14-km downhill by bike, hang-gliding or simply a summit stop - everything is there.
Access:
On the Matterhorn-Gotthard Train from Visp or Andermatt to Fiesch (the valley station can be reached from the train station in 6 minutes), or by car from Brig, or through the Goms Valley.
