In Andermatt it goes up everywhere - up to the Gotthard Pass, the Oberalp, to Nätschen and on the Gütsch and of course, to the Gemsstock.
The journey by funicular railway up the Gemsstock, over the glistening Gurschen glacier is especially impressive. The Urserntal is an outstanding walking paradise. Everywhere, you will find well-marked paths, some lovely instructional paths and an unspoiled mountain landscape. The bikers will also find what the pounding heart desires. No wonder, when all around it's teeming with mountain passes. The Gurschen - Andermatt theme path, which describes the barrier woodland, is interesting.
