In earlier times, when they were not yet accessible, one only heard the eery drumming in the bowels of the mountain.
Today, this natural wonder is accessible by means of an elevator, galleries, tunnels, trails, and platforms. Once inside, one can admire the melting snow waters of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau that come crashing down thunderously. 20,000 liters of water come falling down per second. The canyon is shiny and wet and polished to a satin finish by the continuously falling water. Spotlights set accents and every once in a while a ray of sun hits the falling spray, forming a brilliant rainbow.

Opening hours Trümmelbach Falls: mid-April till end of October daily 9 am - 6 pm, shoulder and low season: 9 am - 5 pm.
