The leisurely journey over the enormous meadow slope with scattered hay huts and cowsheds, in the holiday oasis of Brigels Waltensburg Andiast is rewarding.

Since the Rhaetian Railways opened the Vereina Tunnel connecting Klosters to the Lower Engadine, it is now possible to do an interesting day trip on a train called the Engadine Star that connects highlight after highlight. Connect the Swiss National Park with ritzy St. Moritz and then ride back to Chur.

The massive glacier covering parts of the Wildstrubel chain of mountains measures about 10 square kilometers and is misnamed "Plaine Morte", which literally means "dead plain". At 3,000 metres above sea level, it may be reached from Montana by cable car.

Whether a visitor may be a skier, a literature fan, a mountaineer or a scientist, the Parsenn Mountain Train, opened in 1931, will be of great help to explore the wonderful Weissfluh-Joch.

During the 5-minute ride from the intermediate station of Stand up to Klein Titilis, the gondola revolves 360° around its axis.

The cable railway climbs from the Simmental onto the 2,190-metre solitary Stockhorn. On the way you can see two picturesque mountain lakes (with trout) and an unspoiled alpine landscape.

You will reach the summit of the Eggishorn at 2926 metres above sea level, still completely overwhelmed by the splendid journey over the Fiescheralp.
