Superbly-furnished restaurant by the Gemmi Pass between Kandersteg and Leukerbad. Starting point for Balmhorn, Altels, Rinderhorn. Lovely winter walks. The location of various mountain climbing schools. Open from February to May and June to October.

The newly-renovated rooms serve to impress on account of the 120-year old timber that was used in the reconstruction work. Views of the surrounding mountainscape from every room. Be it home-made bread with the hotel's own flour mixture, the legendary organic jugged lamb from the nearby farm or fine fruit cakes – in the Hotel Oeschinensee, guests are surprised and spoilt, especially with everything that is home made.
