Top tip
The longest toboggan run in Central Switzerland stretches from Melchsee-Frutt to Stöckalp: 8 km in all, with an 800-m drop. Particularly thrilling are the night-time descents on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Ride the Swiss Federal Railroad (SBB) from Lucerne or Interlaken-Brünig to Sarnen, and from Sarnen by postal car to Stöckalp. In Stöckalp, a cable car takes you to Melchsee-Frutt.
