With 410 km of piste rising to Mont-Fort (3,330 m), the ski area offers an abundance of superlatives and huge variety, including pistes of every level of difficulty, legendary off-piste runs and steep couloirs. Alongside the famous peaks and cult runs are smaller resorts such as Champex and La Fouly. Snowshoe hikers and ski tourers are in seventh heaven, covering magnificent mountain terrain on a variety of tours – including a classic trip to the hospice on the Great St. Bernard pass. La Tzoumaz, meanwhile, offers one of the longest toboggan runs in the Alps (10 km).

A taste of magic

Guests can look forward to a host of pleasures – even without having to leave Verbier. With its picturesque chalets, the resort has retained the character of a Valais village, even though it has since developed a modern urban infrastructure. The buzzing nightlife is as thrilling as the busy programme of events – such as the spectacular international freeride contest, Nissan Xtreme Verbier. Food lovers, meanwhile, find a big choice of restaurants throughout the region – from simple to sophisticated.

Mont-Fort (3,330 m) is the highest point in the ski area. With panoramic views taking in Mont-Blanc, the Matterhorn and other peaks, an ascent is a must – even for non-skiers.
