Built on tradition: At the far end of the Simmental, in one of the most beautiful valley heads in the Alps, lies Lenk, a charming chalet village where local traditions are very much alive.

Easy to reach by public transport – on Lötschberger and MOB trains – the resort is ideal for those with a relaxed approach to winter sports. As well as the attractive, manageable ski area on the Betelberg and the direct link to the pistes over in Adelboden, Lenk offers 77 km of crosscountry ski trails and 74 km of footpaths through the fairytale snowcovered landscape.

Two worlds

Although they share a piste map, Adelboden and Lenk have kept their own characters – and, as a result, complement each other wonderfully. While smaller Lenk is tranquil and family-friendly, lively Adelboden on the other side of the mountain is endearingly chic.
